Writing a synopsis is one of the most important skills to master if you want to get an editor or agent interested enough to request your full manuscript. First impressions count - and impressing an editor depends on it.

Contest opens: Friday, August 28, 2009.
Deadline: Friday, October 9, 2009. 
Entries dated outside these dates will not be accepted.

Maximum word counts:
500 words - short category
750 words - long category 
1,250 words - single title

Entry fee per entry:
 $22 (entries within Australia. GST incl.)
$20 (entries outside Australia)           
Three entries per member are permitted.

Final judge:
Ethan Ellenberg of the Ethan Ellenberg Literary Agency.

Prizes:
1st - $175, 2nd - $75, 3rd - $50
