Writing Satisfying Novellas & Short Stories with Carla Caruso

People these days are busy-busy-busy, hence, the time for mini skirt-short stories is now! From novelettes and novellas ranging in length from 8000 to 40,000 words to short stories under 8000 words, everyone’s doing them. Janet Evanovich has penned four holiday novellas for her Stephanie Plum series. Sophie Kinsella wrote Shopaholic on Honeymoon as a free ebook short story for her Shopaholic fans. Short stories, like Alice in Wonderland, have even been made into feature films.

Bootcamp, Critique Register, Roadshow... without these I would still be beavering away in isolation writing mistargeted, hybrid, wrong-length manuscripts on flimsy paperstock with irredeemable heroes and overly complicated plots. I cannot imagine a single thing on the 'must have' list that RWAus does not supply to anyone who needs it.
