About the Little Gems Contest
Our romantic short story contest is always popular with
our members.
Each year we have a 'theme' gem, the name of which must be
included in the entry. Both published and unpublished RWA
members are eligible.
Tip: You can gain extra marks if the gem (or gem name) is used creatively as an integral part of the story
Enter : Romantic short story to 3000 words max. PG rating

Closes: 1 February 2013
Prizes : First- $200 Second- $100 Third- $75
The top scoring entries (12-14) as judged by a mix of reader and writer judges will be published in our annual Little Gems Anthology.
Each published entrant receives two hard copies of the
publication.

The Little Gems Cover Contest 2014
Do you have an artistic side? Or perhaps there’s a
designer in there waiting to be given an opportunity to
shine. Try your hand at designing our next Little Gems
Anthology cover. Send as many designs as you like, entry
is free.
2014 gemstone: TBA
Opens: TBA January 2014
Closes: TBA February 2014
Entry Fee: No fee
Eligibility: Open to RWA members and
non-members.
Judges: A short list of between 3 to 6
designs will be selected by graphic design professional
David Whitbread. The winning entrant will be chosen by
the Little Gems Management team.
Prize: $75 plus the winning design as
the cover of the 2014 Little Gems Short Story Anthology.
Design credit plus 2 copies of the final publication.
