The Conference Floor:

All conference events will be held on the Hilton's spacious first floor , in the Grand Ballroom and Stradbroke, Huntingfield and Delacombe rooms. Pitches will be held in Hotham and Hopetoun rooms. Everything is close and easy to find with access from the lobby by both stairs and lifts.

Accommodation Bookings:

This year, to tie in with our online conference registration, we will be using a dedicated online registration system set up expressly for RWA -- see the Book Accommodation link in the sidebar.

It's important that you use this site as we have reserved a room block for RWA at an agreed rate.

If for some reason you book direct with Hilton, PLEASE email your reservation number to conf2011@romanceaustralia.com. This allows us to have you linked to the event and obtain important benefits for RWA that allow us to add more value to the conference.

Rooms:

Cost: $225 per night. King or twin bed options are available. Please note that twin rooms are king singles, not doubles.

When you visit the Hilton booking site, only King Bed rooms are shown on the home page. Don't worry. You will be able to select a twin bedded room on the next page.

As per standard practice your credit card will be charged for one night's accommodation as a deposit.

Upgraded rooms and suites are available. Please contact the hotel direct and ask for the RWA conference rate. Also, can you please advise us of your reservation number so we can link it to the event.

Breakfast:

Breakfast is not included in the room rate but is available at $25 pp.

Alternative Accommodation:

There are several alternative hotels/serviced apartment options within walking distance or on the tram routes. Try "East Melbourne" or "MCG" in your search to find options in the vicinity of the Hilton.

Getting there:

From Melbourne Airport:

By taxi - approx $50-$60

By Skybus - every 10 minutes to Southern Cross Station: www.skybus.com.au. Tickets can be purchased online.

From Southern Cross Station either:

* take a number 75 East Burwood tram from in front of the station (Spencer St); You will require coins for the ticket machine. Alight at stop No. 11, or

* take the Skybus Hotel shuttle which will drop you at the hotel.

Parking:

$22 for day delegates

$25 for residential guests (24 hr period)

Transport:

There is a tram stop (Stop 11) in front of the hotel on Wellington Parade. Trams stop every 5 minutes with three stops either way to the top end of town or the beginning of the Bridge Road fashion precinct.

Amenities:
